Train: Expedition or Voyager, with panoramic windows and comfortable seats.

Train luggage limit: about 5 kg per person of carry-on luggage.

Large luggage: leave it at your hotel in Cusco, because it can't be taken on the train.

Backpack: only small backpacks are allowed in Machu Picchu. Bring only what you need for the day.

Tickets: they're issued in your name. Flamenco Travel staff will hand them to you and guide you through each leg of the trip.

Important recommendations

• Acclimatize for at least 1 day in Cusco before the tour. Cusco sits at 3,400 m and the day starts very early.
• It's a long day, so get a good night's sleep beforehand.
• Bring your valid original passport, or your DNI if you're Peruvian. The details on your tickets must match your document exactly.
• If you booked at the student rate, bring your valid university student ID.
• Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu Mountain have very limited spots, so request them when you book.
• Inside Machu Picchu the circuit runs one way only, and you can't turn back.
• Disposable plastic bottles are banned in Machu Picchu.
