DISCOVER PERU WITHOUT LIMITS
This tour is the extension to the basic Peru's traditional destinations. Within a few days we will see interesting sites of the pre-inca cultures such as Moche, Wari, Sican, Chimú.
Day 1 and Day 2 - We start in the city of Chiclayo, which is the gateway to the important archaeological sites of North Peru and was built in the 16th century near the ruins of Cerro Patapo of Wari culture. Then we move to the nearby town of Lambayeque, where we visit the Museo Tumbas Reales de Sipán (Museum of the Royal Tombs of the Lord of Sipán). Here we will be able to see the original archaeological findings from the tombs of Moche culture. Another stop will be in Túcume, a place of 26 ruins of the clay pyramid of Moche culture.
Day 3 - In the morning we will drive from Chiclayo by bus to Sipan where we will visit the archaeological site of Huaca Rajada. It is formed by a group of clay pyramids interconnected by the ramps and a large rectangular area extending northwards. Walter Alva and his wife, Susan Meneses, discovered here on July 26, 1987, the tomb of the Lord of Sipan. This discovery is considered to be one of the most significant discoveries of the 20th century.
After a tour in Sipán, we will move to Cajamarca to explore the historic center. This city is known in the history of the Incas as a place where the Spanish conquerors in 1532 overcame the last Inca Atahualpa, where he was captured, imprisoned, expelled, and executed on the main square - Plaza de Armas.
Day 4 - Visit to the Canal de Cumbemayo, which represents one of the wonderful works of the pre-inca cultures. It is an aqueduct of about 8 km in length. This channel served to capture rainfall and to discharge it to the Pacific Ocean. It is believed to have been built around 1500 BC. Then we will move to Trujillo.
Day 5 and Day 6 - Trujillo's metropolitan area is home to several major archaeological complexes that we will visit. Chan Chan - the second biggest city built of bricks of unburnt clay, so-called adobe, by Chimu culture. It is the biggest building of this kind in America and the second one in the world. We will also visit the remains of the archaelogical sites: El Brujo, Los Tres Palos, Huaca de la Luna and Huaca del Sol pyramids.
