The Arequipa highlands: volcanoes, flamingos at Salinas Lagoon and the Lojen hot springs
- 6:00 a.m. Pickup from your accommodation and departure from Arequipa.
- Drive to Viewpoint Transfer to the Volcanoes Viewpoint (about 45 minutes).
- 6:45 a.m. Volcanoes Viewpoint, for views of the volcanoes and photos.
- 7:40 a.m. The town of Chiguata, with its main square and church.
- 8:00 a.m. Free time for breakfast in Chiguata.
- 8:30 a.m. Departure toward the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.
- 9:00 a.m. Alto Simbral, to see the high Andean plants.
- 9:30 a.m. Entry into the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.
- 10:00 a.m. Salinas Lagoon, with flamingos, llamas and landscapes (about 1 hour).
- 11:00 a.m. Lojen Hot Springs and the Lojen mini volcano.
- 12:30 p.m. Return to Chiguata.
- 2:00 p.m. Free time for lunch in Chiguata.
- 3:30 p.m. Departure to Arequipa.
- 5:00 p.m. Arrival in downtown Arequipa and end of the tour.
